Channel 9 Interview

imageAbout a month or so ago, I did an interview with Brian Peek (of much fame, ie WiiRemote .NET lib) to show off my WPF MediaKit project.  Today it went live!  This is my very first interview…on camera or otherwise.

Mad props to Brian for having me!  And many thanks to the Coding4Fun team!

Excellent interview and awesome looking application!

Request and a question:

I download the mediakit, created a WPF app and referenced the dll in an attempt to recreate the webcam app you demonstrated in the interview. Unfortunately I failed due a lack of understanding about DirectShow and Capture devices etc (still learning). I would greatly appreciate it if you could publish the source code of the webcam app you demonstrated.

Can the mediakit be used within a Silverlight application, streaming a webcam to a Silverlight client for example?

Hi,

Tried building on a Vista machine. Got this error:

fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'd3dx9tex.h': No such file or directory c:\users\ed\downloads\wpfmediakit-31944\wpfmediakit\evrpresenter\presentengine.cpp 2

Where is d3dx9tex.h supposed to be located?

That is to build the EVR, which isn't needed unless you specifically set your controls to use it.

To build the EVR, you need the DirectX SDK installed.

The sheepsking is usually sewn onto a plastic sole, and so the boot is not entirely waterproof. Water can enter around the sole, and although it is possible to buy Ugg waterproofing it is not a total solution.
